Z Natural Foods Recalls Lightly Roasted Organic Carob Powder Due to Possible Salmonella Health Risk

Z Natural Foods of West Palm Beach, Florida is recalling 55 lbs of Lightly Roasted Organic Carob Powder because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

The recalled Lightly Roasted Organic Carob Powder was available for sale directly through Z Natural Foods website at www.ZNaturalFoods.com. It was not available in retail stores.

The Lightly Roasted Organic Carob Powder was available in a 1 lb and 5 lb standup resealable foil pouches either bronze (1 lb) or silver in color (5 lb). Visit the FDA website for a list of "Best By" dates included in this recall.

Lundberg Family Farms Recalls Sea Salt Rice Chips Due to Undeclared Allergen

Lundberg Family Farms announced that it is voluntarily recalling from distribution in the United States and Canada, specific bags of Sea Salt Rice Chips due to possible presence of an undeclared dairy allergen.

Pennsylvania Firm Recalls Chicken Products Due to Staphylococcal Enterotoxin Contamination

Murry’s Inc., a Lebanon, Pa. establishment, is recalling approximately 31,689 pounds of gluten free breaded chicken products that may be contaminated with Staphylococcal enterotoxin.

The products have a best by date of August 9, 2015. The following products are subject to recall:

  • 12-oz. boxes of “Bell & Evans Gluten Free Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets.”

California Olive And Vine Announces The Voluntary Recall Of Pumpkin Seed Pesto

California Olive and Vine, LLC of Sutter, CA is taking precautionary measures and voluntarily recalling Pumpkin Seed Pesto because of irregular lab results. The company found that the jarred pesto may have been improperly processed, making it susceptible to contamination with Clostridium botulinum

Allergy Alert On Undeclared Eggs In Lotte Waffles

LOTTE Confectionery Co., Ltd. (manufacturer), 21-5ka, Yangpyung-dong, Youngdeunpo-gu, Seoul, Korea, is recalling its 1.41 ounce (40g) and 5.64 ounce (160g) packages of Lotte Waffles because they contain undeclared egg ingredients.

The recalled Lotte Waffles were distributed to California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Washington, Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, New Jersey, Maryland, and Canada retail stores.

HAR Maspeth Corp RECALLS Jinga brand “Pan Fried Anchovies” BECAUSE OF POSSIBLE HEALTH RISK

HAR Maspeth Corp. of Maspeth, NY, is recalling its 2 ounce and 4 ounce packages of Jinga “Pan Fried Anchovies” due to contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The recalled Jinga “Pan Fried Anchovies” were distributed nationwide in retail stores and through mail orders.   • 3-oz. bags of “VIGIL’S BEEF JERKY CO. TERIYAKI BEEF JERKY” with and packing date “8/27/14”
  • 1-oz., 3-oz., and 6-oz. bags of “VIGIL’S BEEF JERKY CO. JALAPENO BEEF JERKY” with packaging date “9/2/14”

IKEA Recalls PASTAÄLGAR FULLKORN And PASTAÄLGAR, Due To Non-Declared Soy Content

If you have purchased PASTAÄLGAR FULLKORN, elk-shaped wholegrain pasta or PASTAÄLGAR, elk-shaped pasta, in the Swedish Food Market at IKEA, please be aware that the product may contain soy, which is not declared on the product. As a precautionary measure, we have decided to recall these products.

Delicious Beef Jerky, LLC, an Albuquerque, N.M. establishment, is recalling 8 pounds of beef jerky products because they were marked and shipped without the benefit of inspection when they were produced under a retail exemption.

The products subject to recall are:

  • 2.5 once and 5 ounce plastic bags of DELICIOUS BEEF JERKY Lemon Pepper Seasoned Beef Jerky

Texas Firm Recalls Beef Products Due To Possible E. Coli O157:H7

Caviness Beef Packers, a Hereford, Texas establishment, is recalling approximately 23,100 pounds of Beef Trimmings products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7.

The Beef Trimmings products were produced on August 14, 2014 and August 20, 2014. The following products are subject to recall:
  • Combo bins containing “Beef Trimmings, BNLS, 90 L”
  • Combo bins containing “Beef Trimmings, BNLS, 84 L”

Louisiana Firm Recalls Frozen Chicken Breast Strips For Possible Listeria Monocytogenes Contamination

Foster Farms, a Farmerville, La., establishment, is recalling approximately 39,747  pounds of frozen pre-cooked chicken products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The frozen Chicken Breast Grilled Strips product was produced on August 5, 2014, and then shipped to retail warehouse locations in California, Texas, Utah, and Washington state. The following product is subject to recall:

  • 3.25-lb. Plastic resealable bags containing frozen “Chicken Breast Grilled Strips.”

The Original Soupman Issues Allergy Alert and Recall on Certain Lots of “The Original Soupman Lobster Bisque”

The ORIGINAL SOUPMAN of Staten Island, New York, is recalling some of its LOBSTER BISQUE in Tetra Pak cartons because due to human error some cartons were printed omitting that, in addition to lobster, the product also contains shrimp, as well as perch and tilapia in its lobster base.

Monogram Comfort Foods, a Bristol, Ind., establishment, is recalling approximately 607 pounds of uncured beef corn dogs because they may have experienced temperature abuse in the distribution chain.

  • 10 oz. cartons of “Applegate Naturals Gluten-free Uncured Beef Corn Dogs” with a “Best By” date of 04/21/15

Mars Chocolate North America Issues Allergy Alert Voluntary Recall On Undeclared Peanut Butter In M&M’s® Brand Milk Chocolate Theater Box

Mars Chocolate North America announced a voluntary recall of its M&M’S® Brand Theater Box 3.40 oz. This theater box item with the lot codes provided in the FDA website may contain product containing peanut butter without listing on the ingredient label on the outside cardboard box.  The inside package is correctly labelled with ingredients and allergy information. 

The issue was identified after a consumer notified us of a M&M’S® Brand Peanut Butter package containing peanut butter M&M’S® inside a M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Theater Box. 
These specific lot codes were shipped and distributed to our customers’ warehouses between May 8 and July 1, 2014, located in:  NC, TX, MN, IL, FL, KY, MS, AZ, CO, MO, ID and many other states . These customers then redistribute products for retail sale nationwide.
