Sam's Club: Smoked Salmon Recalled for Possible Listeria

Dec. 26, 2012 - Multiexport Foods, Inc of Miami, FL is expanding the voluntary recall that it launched Saturday, December 22nd, 2012 of cold smoked salmon, 12 oz Twin Pack and the 1.25 lb Pack under the “Paramount Reserve”, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria. There are no confirmed illnesses and the voluntary recall is being issued with an over abundance of caution. A recent routine lab test on a shipment, that was not distributed, showed that finished product had the bacterium present.
It is possible the products were shipped to New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Texas - among others. Visit the Walmart Corporation website for more information.

Udi’s Healthy Foods, LLC of Denver, Colorado, is voluntarily recalling its "Udi’s Gluten Free Au Naturel Granola" because they may contain undeclared almonds.

Recalled "Udi’s Gluten Free Au Naturel Granola" products were distributed through retail stores in California, Colorado, Utah, and other states.

Ocean Beauty Seafoods LLC Recalls “Nathan’s Brand Cold Smoked Atlantic Salmon 3 oz” and “LASCCO Cold Smoked Atlantic Salmon 4 oz”


Ocean Beauty Seafoods LLC is voluntarily recalling 371 cases of ready-to-eat cold smoked salmon products because of possible contamination by Listeria monocytogenes.
The recalled products, “Nathan’s Brand 3oz Cold Smoked Atlantic Salmon” (Product of Chile) and “LASCCO Cold Smoked Nova Atlantic Salmon 4 oz” (Product of Chile) were distributed to various retailers and distribution centers in CA, AZ, TX, CO, and many other states from 11/20/2012 through 12/12/2012.

Claudia’s Canine Cuisine® Voluntarily Recalls it’s Dogcandy® Brand of Holiday Hound Cake (7.5 Oz.) and Blueberry Hound Cake (7.5 Oz) Manufactured for, Distributed, and Sold in Approximately 130 Petsmart Stores Because of The Possibility of Mold


The product in question is a single production run and packed in a 7.5 ounce paw print bag marked with a best by date of 08-2015. The best by date can be found on the ingredient label on the back of the package just above the UPC bar code.  The UPC for the Blueberry Hound Cake is: 692614010058; The UPC for the Holiday Hound Cake is:  692614010041.
The recall applies to 7.5 oz. bags of DogCandy® Holiday Hound Cake and Blueberry Hound Cake because the cakes have the potential to become moldy.  These cakes were manufactured specifically for PetSmart Corporation and distributed to approximately 130 PetSmart stores in 36 states.  No other products have been impacted.

Mister Snacks, Inc. Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Peanuts in Sunbird Snacks 5oz. Packages of Yogurt Raisins

Mister Snacks, Inc. of Amherst, New York, is recalling its 5 oz. packages of Sunbird Snacks Yogurt Raisins because they may contain undeclared peanuts. 

This recall is limited to 161 cases containing twelve Sunbird Snacks 5 oz. Yogurt Raisin packages. The product comes in a 5 oz. clear bag marked with a Lot Number and Expiration Date of "EXP 0513 265" ink-stamped on the back of the package.
The product was distributed nationwide in retail stores.

Cake Decors Pastillage (gum paste) flowers have been distributed to Hobby Lobby Stores and by direct online sale through company website, www.cakedecors.com. Some or all Hobby Lobby Locations may carry our Pastillage (gumpaste) line in the following states: AZ, CO, NM, TX, UT, and many other states.

Cake Decors Pastillage (gumpaste) are packaged in a white and blue box with a center cut out to show the product. Product is contained within a clear plastic clam shell. Georgia Firm Recalls Fully Cooked Breaded Chicken Products That May Contain Foreign Materials

Suzanna's Kitchen, a Duluth, Ga. establishment, is recalling approximately 35,800 pounds of breaded chicken products because they may contain pieces of plastic.

The products subject to recall include:
  • " Cases containing twelve (12), 12-oz cartons of "FREEBIRD FULLY COOKED CHICKEN NUGGETS," with an identifying case code of "6220" and use-by date of March 15, 2014, ink-jetted on each case and carton. These cases have a Julian code of "2075."
  • " Cases containing twelve (12), 12-oz cartons of "FREEBIRD FULLY COOKED GLUTEN FREE/SOY FREE CHICKEN PATTIES," with an identifying case code of "6244" and use-by date of September 6, 2013, ink-jetted on each case and carton. These cases have a Julian code of "1249."
  • " 10-lb bulk cases of "FULLY COOKED CHICKEN NUGGETS," with an identifying case code of "6221" and use-by date of March 15, 2014 ink-jetted on the case. These cases have a Julian code of "2075," and were shipped to a foodservice distributor in California for further distribution.

These products were produced for a separate federally-inspected establishment and distributed to retail stores nationwide.
