Recall - Dark Chocolate, Organic Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate And Trail Mix Products Sold In Bulk


Tropical Valley Foods is alerting customers that because of a label error, Dark Chocolate, Organic Dark Chocolate and Trail Mix items which were sold in bulk quantities contain undeclared allergens.  Consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat, soy or tree nuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

BT McElrath Chocolatier, Inc. Announces Nationwide Recall Of Peanut Butter Pave Due To Possible Health Risks

BT McElrath Chocolatier, Inc. is initiating a voluntary recall of the seasonal peanut butter pave because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The decision to recall was made due to the expanded recall of Sunland Inc.'s peanut butter. To date, there have been no confirmed illnesses or injuries reported in connection with any of the BT McElrath Chocolatier, Inc. recalled products, and no other BT McElrath Chocolatier, Inc. products are being recalled at this time. Gilster - Mary Lee Corp. Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Tree Nuts in Better Valu Fruit Whirls Ready to Eat Cereal

Gilster-Mary Lee of Chester, Illinois, is voluntarily recalling one lot of Fruit Whirls cereal because it contains undeclared almond butter. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The only brand involved is Better Valu Fruit Whirls Ready to Eat Cereal, packaged in 28-oz. plastic bags which has a Best By date of JUL 17 13 J8 (UPC# 79801-24630). The code is located on the lower left corner of the back of the package, below the Nutrition Facts and Ingredient Declaration Panel. Consumers should return the product to the store for a full refund or discard it.
 
The product was distributed between July 24, 2012 and October 16, 2012 to retail stores located in Texas and other states.

Natural Selection Foods Recalls Earthbound Farm® Baby Spinach Grab & Go Salad® Kit with Peanuts Due to Possible Health Risk Associated with Sunland Inc. Peanut Products (no risk associated with spinach)

Natural Selection Foods is voluntarily recalling Earthbound Farm Baby Spinach Grab & Go Salad Kits with Peanuts. The product is sold in a 3.5 ounce clamshell with UPC 0-32601-08875-0. All “Use By” dates are affected.

The salad kits were distributed to retail supermarkets and foodservice operators in the following states: California, Texas and several other states.

Consumers who have any product covered by this recall should dispose of it or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. While there is no risk associated with the spinach or the dressing in the kit, the company is requesting that consumers dispose of the entire kit, out of an abundance of caution. Further, anyone who has retained a packet of peanuts from this kit should dispose of the packet. Kasel Associated Industries Recalls Boots & Barkley Roasted American Pig Ears And Boots & Barkley American Variety Pack Dog Treats Because of Possible Salmonella Health Risk

Kasel Associated Industries of Denver, CO is voluntarily recalling its BOOTS & BARKLEY ROASTED AMERICAN PIG EARS AND BOOTS & BARKLEY AMERICAN VARIETY PACK DOG TREATS product because it may be contaminated with Salmonella.

The recalled Roasted Pig Ears and Variety Pack Dog Treats were distributed nationwide through Target retail stores in August 2012. 

The Roasted Pig Ears product comes in a clear plastic bag containing 12 pig ears marked with UPC bar code 647263899158. The Variety Pack product also comes in a clear plastic bag weighing 32oz and marked with UPC bar code 490830400086. 

Kasel Industries is recalling lot number BESTBY 13SEP2014DEN for both products because this lot code tested positive for the Salmonella bacteria through analysis by the Colorado Department Of Agriculture.

Consumers who have purchased the 12 count packages of Roasted Pig Ears and the 32oz Variety Pack Dog Treats are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Sunland, Inc. Announces Voluntary Extension of Ongoing Recall To Include Raw and Roasted Shelled and In-Shell Peanuts Due to Possible Health Risk

Sunland, Inc. today announced that it is extending its ongoing voluntary recall to include raw and roasted shelled and in-shell peanuts processed in its Peanut Processing Plant because the products have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. Specifically, the recall is being extended to include raw and roasted peanuts, both in-shell and shelled, which were processed in its Peanut Processing Plant located in Portales, New Mexico, and which are within their current shelf life or have no stated expiration date.

The original recall initiated by the Company on September 24, 2012, included peanut butter and other nut butter products produced in a separate building from where raw and roasted peanuts are processed. The reason for the initial voluntary recall was the potential for the recalled products to be contaminated with Salmonella. At that time, twenty-nine (29) people had reported Salmonella Bredeney PFGE matching illnesses in approximately eighteen (18) states, and of those who had been interviewed at that time, twelve of fourteen reported having eaten the same single product made by the Company. Since the recall was announced, additional confirmed illnesses have been reported. As of October 5, 2012, the total number of confirmed illnesses reported was thirty-five (35). The raw and roasted peanuts available to retail customers were distributed primarily under the Company’s own label and were distributed primarily to produce houses and nationally to numerous large supermarket, grocery and retail chains. The products also were available for purchase on the internet. The roasted and roasted/salted peanuts being recalled were distributed during the six month period prior to the recall date (April 12, 2012 – October 12, 2012), and will have best by/expiration dates on the packaging from October 12, 2012 through April 12, 2013. The raw peanuts being recalled (shelled and in-shell), were distributed during the twelve months prior to the recall date (October 12, 2011 – October 12, 2012), and will have either best by dates from October 12, 2012 through October 12, 2013 on the packaging, or a “Crop Year” marking on the package of 2011 or 2012, up to and including October 12, 2012.

Consumers who have purchased any of the recalled products are urged not to eat them and to return products to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of them immediately. Trifecta Foods, LLC in Pacoima, CA is voluntarily recalling products containing IN-SHELL ROASTED SALTED AND UNSALTED PEANUTS supplied to Trifecta Foods by SUNLAND, INC. because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.

The products being recalled are IN-SHELL ROASTED SALTED AND UNSALTED PEANUTS available to retail customers under the Fresh Pak and Energy Club labels distributed nationally to independent stores, grocery and retail chains. The products being recalled were distributed during the six month period immediately prior to the October 12, 2012 recall date (April 12, 2012 – October 12, 2012) and distribution of the products has ceased. The products being recalled will have "Best By"/expiration dates on the packaging from November 23, 2012 through April 10, 2013.

TBD Brands, LLC, announced today that it is issuing a voluntary recall of Yoghund brand Organic Banana & Peanut Butter flavor, frozen yogurt dog treats. This is a cautionary action, as these products contain organic peanut butter linked to recent recalls of Sunland, Inc.of Portales, NM, for possible Salmonella contamination.

The company has elected to recall all case product of Lot Code 268 12 and earlier, cup and four pack Best By Date of 9.24.14 or earlier.

Product was distributed through retailers nationwide.

These were distributed nationally to numerous large supermarket, grocery and retail chains. The SALTED JUMBO VIRGINIA IN-SHELL PEANUTS being recalled were distributed during the six month period prior to the recall date (April 12, 2012 – October 12, 2012), and will have best by/expiration dates on the packaging from October 12, 2012 through August 27, 2013.

AdvancePierre Foods Initiates Voluntary Recall of Select Frozen Peanut Butter Products

AdvancePierre Foods of Cincinnati, OH, is initiating a voluntary recall of select frozen products including Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches, Peanut Butter and Jelly Graham Cracker sandwiches and Peanut Butter cup products all produced at its Easley, South Carolina factory. In the best interest of consumers, AdvancePierre has decided to recall all of the potentially affected products, including those beyond the one-year shelf life.

The following products are included in this recall:
  • Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (frozen)
  • Peanut butter and jelly Graham cracker sandwiches (frozen)
